- Do private sellers pay eBay fees in the UK?
- No final value fee on most categories - eBay UK removed selling fees for private sellers in February 2024. Buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee on top of your price instead. Business sellers still pay final value fees, which vary by category.
- What fees do eBay business sellers pay?
- A final value fee that varies by category (12.8% is typical for many), a fixed order fee of around 30p, plus optional costs like promoted listings. Rates change, so this calculator lets you set your own from eBay's current fee table.
- How is profit worked out?
- Sold price minus everything it cost: what you paid for the item, postage you covered, packaging and other costs, and any selling fees. Margin is profit as a share of the sold price; return is profit as a share of what you spent.
